Visionary Industrialist and Economic Architect In the journey of Bangladesh’s contemporary industrial and commercial advancement, Mohammed Amirul Haque stands out as one of the most visionary leaders at the forefront.

For more than four decades, he has been playing a crucial role in shaping the nation's economy, industrialization, and commercial infrastructure. He is the founder and managing director of Premier Cement Mills PLC—the country’s second-largest cement manufacturer—and Seacom Group, a highly diversified conglomerate. In recognition of his outstanding contributions to business and the national economy, the Government of Bangladesh has honored him with the prestigious CIP (Commercially Important Person) status multiple times.

Born in Chattogram, Amirul Haque completed his Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Chittagong. Guided by a quest for global business perspectives, he later pursued higher education in 'Leadership and Sustainability' in the United Kingdom and is a distinguished Fellow Member of the Institute of Petroleum, UK.

The ultimate reflection of his forward-thinking business philosophy came in 2001. Recognizing the immense potential of the country's infrastructure sector, he stepped forward to establish Premier Cement. That bold decision has now transformed into a massive industrial empire, boasting a staggering daily production capacity of 27,500 metric tons today. Beyond his corporate identity, Haque is a highly respected apex trade leader. He is currently serving as the President of the Bangladesh Cement Manufacturers Association (BCMA) for the 2025–2027 term, the President of the Chittagong Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI)—the apex trade body of the country's premier port city—and the President of the LPG Operators Association of Bangladesh (LOAB).

Under his dynamic and strategic stewardship, Seacom Group has evolved into one of Bangladesh’s largest and most diversified conglomerates. Operating nine state-of-the-art factories strategically located across Narayanganj, Munshiganj, Chattogram, Cox's Bazar, Khulna, and Mongla, the group drives the nation's economic engine while generating direct and indirect employment for thousands of people. Having built its rock-solid foundation on international logistics, ship-owning, and stevedoring, Seacom Group has successfully diversified into the energy sector, distributing clean energy through Delta LPG. Furthermore, the group maintains a dominant footprint in edible oil refining, soybean seed crushing, Delta Agrofood, fisheries, packaging, and real estate.

Parallel to his monumental commercial success, Amirul Haque sets an inspiring benchmark in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). His dedication to society was prominently visible during the global pandemic, when he led from the front to establish isolation centers in joint collaboration with the Chattogram City Corporation. Through a perfect harmony of employment generation, sustainable industrialization, and humanitarian values, Mohammed Amirul Haque remains a true inspiration in Bangladesh’s industrial sector.
